The Design Development phase is an ongoing relationship between yourself and the designer. We start with the footprint as that is the foundation of the design process. This consists of sketching, space planning and proposed ideas. Once the design has gained a purpose and a direction, this is where the design ‘becomes a reality.’ After the designer has completed a proposal, the ‘reality’ sinks in as we walk you through the 3D Model. Allowing the client to feel the space gives them the opportunity to give live feedback to the designer. During this design walk-through, we’re able to make changes on the fly. As we wrap up the design, we will send a final preliminary to the client for their consent. Once the design is approved, the Construction Document department takes over.
